Governor Lamont Issues Safe Workplace Rules for Essential Employers

New rules were developed last night outlining additional protective measures that every workplace in Connecticut deemed essential—and any other business or nonprofit allowed to remain open—must follow.

Lamont keeps state spending lean to build reserves against next recession

Governor Ned Lamont proposed a lean $22.3 billion budget Wednesday that would push Connecticut’s emergency reserves close to $3 billion while keeping taxes largely flat.

State revenues holding firm

Despite ongoing public fear of a national recession, state revenues largely remained constant, according to a new report Tuesday from fiscal analysts. General Fund revenues for the fiscal year that ends June 30 dropped by about $85 million below budgeted levels. (more…)
