The New ShopRite of Orange will open its door to shoppers on Saturday, October 30 at 8AM at 259 Bull Hill Lane. According to owner Harry Garafalo, the new supermarket will feature an expanded hot food department with options to eat-in or take out hot meals. Though smaller, the store will be similar to the ShopRite that opened in Milford last spring.
The store will also feature ‘ShopRite from Home’ an ordering service where orders are placed online, filled in the store and ready for customer pickup at the front of the store. In addition the store will also offer an on-staff dietician who will offer services like diabetic counseling to customers who need help with food choices. The Garafolo’s own six ShopRite stores in Connecticut and the new orange location will employ 230 full and part-time employees.
