FMI members and state grocery and retail association executives met to discuss issues of importance to the food retail industry at the state and local level.

On Thursday, November 30, FMI retail members and state grocery and retail association executives met in Springfield, MA at the FMI Northeast Regional Legislative Meeting. The group discussed several issues of importance to the food retail industry in the upcoming state legislative sessions, as well as at the local level. The discussion covered food and beverage taxes, environmental issues such as plastic bag/polystyrene bans and bottle laws, and labor and employment issues such as minimum wage, paid sick and family leave and restrictive scheduling.
